HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Two heroin dealers were sentenced today for their roles in distributing approximately 140 grams of heroin in Huntington, West Virginia and the surrounding area. Jammie L. Davis, 38, of Detroit, Michigan, was sentenced to 54 months in prison, and Andrew M. Brown, 24, of Huntington, West Virginia, was sentenced to 37 months in prison. In July 2009, a Federal grand jury returned a four-count indictment against the duo, charging them with conspiracy to distribute heroin and other distribution offenses. Davis and Brown pleaded guilty in August 2009, admitting they conspired with each other and others to distribute heroin from January 2009 to May 13, 2009. According to court documents, Davis made multiple trips from Detroit, Michigan to Huntington to obtain heroin which he and Brown then subsequently sold. As part of their plea agreements, both stipulated that they conspired to distribute approximately 140 grams of heroin during the drug conspiracy.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Huntington Police Department jointly conducted the investigation. The prosecutions were handled by Assistant United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston. United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers presided over the proceedings.
